Karl Mazlo is taking advantage of this immersion at Villa Kujoyama to pursue and enrich this idea of a jewel thanks to the atmosphere and exchanges between these two complementary cultures.
Since 2014, Karl has created more than a hundred pieces of jewelry in memory of his first encounter with Japan. Today, he has the ambition to go further in his approach by sealing in the precious material, these rare moments of sharing between Japanese and French culture. During his residency, he joined the Seikadô workshop, specializing in the traditional art of pewter. Immersed in the heart of creation where he will collaborate with the complicity of artisans from this house.
They will mix their craft techniques as well as their visions of creation.
