  • Encountering Objects

Inspired by the Haikus of Bashô, each object narrate the strolls of characters lost in the hollow of imaginary landscapes. Here, the sake glass, a common everyday object in Japan, is once again imagined to infuse it with the poetry of a meeting between culture and matter. This collection, created jointly with the Seikadô house, was created during Karl Mazlo's residence at the Kujoyama villa. A set of seven works, six glasses and a bottle, was born from this collaboration combining techniques, inspirations and Franco-Japanese tools.
